Last week I stopped at the TD bank in Okotoks. While there I asked if they had any 1 Dollar Coins from 1937-1989. I was in formed by the assistant manager that if any are turned in they are to be returned to the main branch and not released to customers.
Does anyone have further information as to why the banks are doing this?
