1956 Canadian cent
1956 Canadian cent
Po
had this coin on another coin site and did not get any reply so it must be a small errorRe: 1956 Canadian cent
Die break on the left leaf and a point on the 1 in 1 cent
Re: 1956 Canadian cent
I doubt that would be a die crack or break on the leaf, looks more like a strike through or even a scratch. Above the 1 probably a die chip though.

Left leaf is a scratch or strike thru, depending on if it's recessed or sharply raised edges.

I think a strike through as it came from a proof set i think or proof like set anyway.

It's not very often that a strike-thru will go into/thru the design. That would require something soft or flexible enough the go down into the die's design recess and be hard/stiff enough to cause the metal to not flow during the strike. It looks to me like a scratch from the machinery after the die for separating/transporting the completed coin or something in the packaging process.
